Under the supervision of Maestro Isaac Karabtchevsky – one of the most acclaimed and active professionals in the international music scenario – the Orchestral Conducting Course offer participants the unique opportunity to learn from this world renowned conductor; the practice with a symphony orchestra and the opportunity to explore the universe of concert music.
The course emphasizes on the enhancement of conducting gestures and on the development of leadership skills. Participation is open to Brazilians and foreigners, and openings are divided into groups as follows – Student Conductor (15 openings) and Listener only student (up to 100 openings).
In the end, 8 student conductors will be selected to take over the baton and conduct the Barra Mansa Symphony Orchestra in concert during the official schedule of MIMO.
