MIMO PARA INICIANTES

Since 2005 children from 5 to 10 years old studying in Olinda´s public schools anxiously await for the arrival of the Jerzy Milewski, a Polish violinist naturalized Brazilian, and of the pianist  Aleida Schweitzer.

For the seventh time in a row, the duo will present to kids a glimpse of western music. In their special recitals, they span from Bach to Villa-Lobos and also give a sip of popular tunes played in classical instrumentos. In most of the cases, these performances the little ones first contact with classical music and instruments.

This year Project MIMO for Beginners will give honor to Polish music genius Frédéric Chopin, who would be turning two hundred years old this year.
